Association

Who are we?

Created in June 2016, Carrefour Parental Alienation (CAP) Québec is an association that raises the veil on parental alienation and the consequences of this psychological abuse against children.

We are a group of parents and professionals who care for the well-being of the child and defend their rights to maintain contact with both parents and their families in a context of proper co-parenting.

We work to help families and their families recognize parental alienation, prevent it and intervene as best as possible for the best interests of the child by offering various services including an educational portal, information sessions and parenting programs.

Mission

At the Carrefour Alienation Parentale (C.A.P.) - Québec, our mission is to:

  • Raise awareness about parental alienation so that everyone can recognize it, prevent it and act before it is too late.
  • Empower the targeted parent to act through education, exchange and support for reconciliation with their child.
  • Utilize existing resources to help families.

Word from the founder

Coping with a highly stressful situation that you cannot ‘name’, simply because you do not know of its existence, is what many separated parents have to live with until they become aware of the term ‘Parental Alienation’.

Living with parental alienation means living in:

  • Helplessness, due to the lack of self-knowledge and the challenge posed by this phenomenon, several aspects of which are contrary to logic or which are hardly perceptible to an uninformed person.
  • The injustice due to laws which are outdated or not yet created to deal with Parental Alienation.
  • Isolation, by its context of denigration and social judgment "there is no smoke without fire ..." well supported by the law of silence as many other causes of abuse.

And the real victim in all that is the child, whereas s/he only asks or wants to love both of his/her parents. He often sees himself, consciously or unconsciously, forced to abandon half of himself to survive this warfare which he is an instrument or pawn.

CAP Québec is an initiative for the well-being of our society by freeing our children from this burden that is too great for them, thanks to a better informed population, a targeted parent who takes back his power to act action, and young adults who were once alienated Can understand and reconcile with his / her alienated parent.

CAP Québec, it is these rejected parents who deliver their messages of love to their child (ren) by seeking help and letting them know that their love remains intact, that they will always be there and that, they will cherish all their life the chance to be their mom or their dad ...

CAP Québec, it is also the voice of our children, who are often ignored.

On behalf of the entire CAP Québec team, THANK YOU, from the bottom of our hearts, to all the volunteers, partners, donors and professionals who help make a difference and to all those parents and children who will hopefully find love and peace in their families.
